Austin Ray
Owner and Managing Director
Construction is a big part of the Ray family history. Austin’s father was a skilled carpenter who ran his own successful general contracting business for 35 years. Working alongside his father, Austin became experienced in numerous trades at a young age. After graduating high school, he attended Montclair State University and majored in Business Management with a minor in Real Estate Development. Austin returned to construction in the commercial industry as a superintendent running various large-scale projects in New York City and then New Jersey.
Austin drew on his extensive experience in the industry to establish Rayco Reliable Construction. From an indoor residential basement baseball training facility to corporate interior and lab space renovations, as well as various home renovations & additions throughout New Jersey, the Rayco Reliable Team has completed some remarkable projects under Austin’s leadership.
His mission is to provide every client with a RELIABLE contractor that not only delivers on what they promise but also has the professionalism and experience to guide them so that they feel informed, and comfortable with the construction process from start to finish.

Julia Ray
Lead Construction Administrator
Like her brother Austin, Julia grew up watching her father John build many amazing projects. Julia loved to ride in the truck with her father to the jobs as a young girl and enjoyed going on the weekends to see the projects her dad and brother were building together. Upon graduating high school, Julia set her sights on the warm weather and beaches in Florida to pursue her education. When Austin told her about his idea to start his own construction company, she couldn’t have been more excited to be a part of it.
From day one, Julia has been the go-to team member for all project administration responsibilities and an integral part of the Rayco team. Julia loves the process of learning more about construction and everything about building the business, as she hopes to one day start a business of her own as a licensed esthetician.

Planning
We will work together with you or your team to carefully plan out every aspect of your construction project. We dedicate the same time and attention to every project, whether it be residential, commercial, new construction, or renovation. This includes cost estimates, budget management, project scheduling, material procurement, and contractor coordination.
Construction
Once the planning process is completed, our team will go to work on your project. We will oversee or execute each phase of construction while adhering to your construction designs. Throughout the process, we may see an opportunity to achieve a specific design aspect in a more time and cost-effective way without sacrificing quality. We will consult with you for consideration and approval, keeping you informed throughout the entire project.
Accountability
When you contract to work with Rayco Reliable Construction, we are responsible for every detail of your project. If you have questions or concerns, we will address them. Our process is designed to prevent miscommunication, project delays, and oversights. However, should an issue arise, we assume full responsibility and quickly implement the best possible solution.
Our Process
Once you contact us to schedule an initial consultation, the Rayco team will ask about your the project to prepare for the consultation including a brief project description, the project location, and desired time frame. If you have any other information you believe would be relevant to our preparation, it would be greatly appreciated.
During this initial meeting, we will go over the project and review the entire scope with you. Our goal is to understand the “why” behind the project and what your ideal outcome would be. Once we understand your goal, we will provide our professional opinion on how to make your vision a reality – the Rayco Reliable Way.
We will finalize the project design, clearly define the project scope, and set a realistic schedule and budget. This will be done with you and any applicable project team members if applicable, (Architect, Engineer, Designer, etc.)
Once the project design, scope, schedule, and budget have been finalized we will present you with a contract clearly outlining each of these. Once the contract is signed, we can move forward with your project.
We will obtain all the necessary permits for your project. We will also identify and review all long-lead items with the project team. These are items such as equipment, products, and systems identified at the earliest stage of a project to have a delivery time long enough to affect directly the overall lead time of a project. If any schedule conflicts arise, we will notify you and review alternative solutions vs long lead item delay impact with the project team. Our team will propose a solution to best serve you and the project. Our client-first approach always makes sure that we put your wants and needs at the top of the priority list, providing guidance using our team’s vast construction experience.
With the proper permits in place and any long items identified and an agreed-upon resolution to those items in place, work on your project will begin as per finalized or newly revised schedule.
Depending on the scope of the project, we will provide daily, weekly, or monthly progress reports. These will include construction progress and the status of township inspections.
In addition to our weekly internal Rayco Subcontractor meetings, we will also conduct weekly project meetings with you and the project architects, engineers, and designers to review our progress.
Our team will create and issue a Rayco Reliable internally generated punch list and complete all items outlined on this list. We will also review and complete any additional punch lists provided by project architects, engineers, or by you, our client.
Upon the completion of all punch lists, we will conduct a walkthrough. Our mission is to deliver the highest quality product possible, the Rayco Reliable Construction way. Our goal is to leave you with a finished product you’ll love and a smile on your face!
